Recall Corner: July 2010

July 1, 2010

Fleetwood RV Inc. has announced NHTSA recall 10V224000, which involves 2009 Jamboree Sport model 31N, and 2010 Jamboree, Jamboree Sport, Tioga, Encounter model 32BH, and Tioga Ranger model 31N Type A and Type C motorhomes built April 23, 2009, through March 17, 2010. The potential number of motorhomes involved is 114.

On the affected motorhomes, the LP-gas lines for the water heater and furnace that are routed through a hole in the floor may become damaged by sharp edges if left unprotected. Damage to the LP-gas lines may lead to a gas leak that could result in a vehicle fire.

A Fleetwood RV dealer will inspect the LP-gas supply lines, install wire looms, and secure the supply lines as necessary. The repair is expected to take approximately 30 minutes. However, because of service scheduling times, the service center may need the vehicle for a longer time period.

For more information about this recall, contact Fleetwood RV at (800) 509-3418. Owner notification began in May 2010.
