Jack Pad Helper
I created a helper that I use to position the jack pads under the motorhome and retrieve them when it’s time to go. To make the helper, I used an old Swiffer mop handle. At the bottom of the handle “” where the Swiffer mop head used to be “” I drilled a 3/16-inch hole 3/8 inch above the yoke, centered in the handle. I then took a heavy plastic wire holder and cut it to get the start of a curve. Once cut, I smoothed and rounded the cut end. Next, I placed a 3/16-inch stainless-steel washer on a 3/16-inch-by-1-inch stainless-steel bolt and pushed it through the hole in the handle. I then put the wire holder on the bolt and fastened it to the handle with a 3/16-inch stainless-steel nut. I use the yoke to help position the pad under the jacks when I set up camp, and I use the hook to pull the pads from under the coach when it’s time to store them.

Storage Solutions
As full-time RVers, we’re always looking for ways to maximize our storage space. Filling a small closet with plastic bins allows it to hold more stuff than shelving, and it makes it easier to find what you’re looking for. We use large bins on the floor of the big closet inside the motorhome and even larger bins that are labeled and stacked in the exterior storage bays. Bins are available in so many sizes that it’s easy to find the right combination to help you avoid wasting valuable storage space.

Soap Dispenser
Rather than having the liquid soap bottle bouncing around in the sink or taking up space on a shelf while traveling, I installed a countertop soap dispenser next to our kitchen sink. Installation involved drilling a hole through the counter according to the instructions that came with the dispenser. Make sure there is enough clearance under the sink to install and remove the soap bottle. These types of dispensers are available in home goods stores, and you should be able to find one with a finish that matches your other fixtures.
