Jim Koenig, F406483, received the Kenneth T. Scott Pipe Dreamer’s Award during FMCA’s annual meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. FMCA’s Governing Board votes to bestow this award, which recognizes an FMCA member or nonmember for exceptionally worthy or beneficial service to the association or to family motor coach owners in general. Jim was selected because of his work in FMCA’s Great Lakes Area. The award is named after the visionary Ken Scott, FMCA’s first executive director, who promoted “family” within FMCA and had the ability to help different people come together for a common goal.
Bob Erickson, F357997, of the North Alabama RVers chapter, was presented with the Robert L. Richter Award at the annual meeting in Madison. FMCA’s Executive Board selects the recipient of this award, which honors an FMCA member who is responsible for chapter newsletters, chapter publications, or communications to and about an FMCA chapter. The award is named after Bob Richter, L1, FMCA’s founder and first editor of Family Motor Coaching magazine.
