Nicholas, Maria, and Anastasia Meremianin, F474868
Home: Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Occupations: Nick works for a New Jersey state agency; Maria is a home infusion field nurse supervisor; Anastasia, 11, is in sixth grade.
Pet: 12-year-old German shepherd, Tinker Bell.
RVs we’ve owned: When we met, Maria had a pop-up trailer. Then we moved to a travel trailer in 2005, followed by a gas Type A motorhome in 2015. We’ll buy a 2019 Jayco Embark diesel pusher in December.
Most unusual place visited: Various animal sanctuaries. We enjoy helping them with financial support, and seeing the animals thrive in a controlled environment.
One thing I never leave home without:
Nick: Aspirin. It saved my life on January 22, 2016. I had a heart attack and my wonderful nurse wife — thank you, Maria — saved my life with that little pill! I tell everyone they should have it with them in case of a heart attack. It works.
A memorable camping experience: Cherrystone Family Camping Resort in Cape Charles, Virginia, is on the Delmarva Peninsula. One of our fondest memories was riding out Hurricane Ernesto back in 2006. We were on the highest site and had the least flooding. Jellyfish were floating by our site and kayakers were going from coach to coach.
Favorite hobby: We have run many races, from 5Ks to half marathons. (Anastasia completed her first half marathon in October.)
