Harry and Renee Wright, F477678
Occupations:
Harry: Retired insurance company director.
Renee: In a second career as owner of a home-based graphic arts and event-planning business.
Home: Hudson, Ohio.
RV: 2016 Tiffin Allegro Open Road.
RVing since: 2017, after 30 years of tent camping.
Our decision to buy an RV: It became final after taking our grandsons tent camping in northern Illinois, using air mattresses on the cold ground, and having aching bodies in the morning.
Lessons learned while RVing: Don’t set deadlines; cherish every experience, good and bad; enjoy every minute and every mile.
Favorite camping destination: Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama, because of the warmer weather, water, people, history, and abundance of outdoor activities. Also, the variety of fresh seafood makes it easy to please the palate.
Best camping memory: In fall 2018, we took four friends from our church on an 11-day trip we nicknamed the “Southern Swing.” We all traveled comfortably in the RV, and at each destination, three slept in the RV and three stayed in a nearby rented cabin or rental home. All six of us packed into our compact SUV for day trips, sightseeing, and restaurants. So many laughs, tears, and memories! Our second adventure is planned for this fall.
Top item on our bucket list:
A leisurely trip out West for a few months, visiting national parks and historical landmarks, taking time to be spontaneous and learn about other cultures, ethnicities, foods, and lifestyles. Visiting friends and family along the way.
