Calling South Dakota Residents
My name is Kent Larsen, a summer resident in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am interested in starting a chapter of FMCA in South Dakota and I need your help! We plan on including full-time South Dakota residents, part-time residents, and those who only stop by once a year to update their information. A tremendous amount of RVing experience and knowledge is available from this diverse group.
We need a minimum of 15 FMCA members to form the chapter and launch it for long-term success. If you would be interested in this venture, please share your name and contact information with me (kentlarsen504@gmail.com; 605-359-5914, phone/text). With a core group of us established, we can meet at FMCA’s 105th International Convention and RV Expo in Lincoln, Nebraska, in August.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon!

Tire Monitor Caps
After our snowbird return, I read the “RV Products” column in the February 2022 magazine and promptly bought two sets of the EZ Read Tire Caps mentioned — one for the towed vehicle and the other for the car my wife, Clara, drives. We ordered by phone from CLC International, (574) 773-9000, and they were very prompt in their shipment.
After trying the units out, I am very impressed with their performance. The units checked were set to 34 psi, at which point they showed green, as in “good.” As I deflated them piecemeal, the red color appeared at 30 psi. The further the deflation, the more the red showed.
These are great tools as a warning of underinflated tires, plus the degree of underinflation. On our motorhome, we’ve used a TireMinder tire pressure monitoring system for many years. But for our cars, these caps are ideal. A 30-second scan shows the state of pressure. At $20 for a set of four caps, the price was reasonable. We’ll be using these from now on. I am so pleased you showed them in the February magazine.

April Issue, John Madden Story Noted As Favorites
I have been an FMCA member for a long time. Not sure if I joined in the ’80s or ’90s. You, of course, can tell by my number. I was in my 30s or 40s; I am now in my 70s. I have always enjoyed the magazine — always read it from cover to cover. Even in the days when it was like an encyclopedia with many ads (which I enjoyed).
April 2022 was my favorite issue — even though there have been other issues that included people I knew or chapters of which I was a member. I feel it was the overall content of the April issue; however, the John Madden story was my favorite (“Coaches For The Coach,” page 50). He was my favorite announcer and person in NFL football, just above coach Shula. Thank you for the wonderful story. I enjoyed all of it.
