The Gulf Coast Pelicans celebrated the group’s 30th anniversary during our annual meeting rally held November 17-20, 2025, at Creekside RV Resort in Punta Gorda, Florida. This Family RV Association chapter was formed in 1995.

The Gulf Coast Pelicans commemorated a chapter milestone this past November.
Forty-one members and one guest were in attendance for the celebration. They included Alice and Richard Johnson, who have been active members for 20 years. Another active couple, Gail and Keith Van Dee, joined in the 1990s.
Scrapbooks, pictures, and chapter newspapers from the last 30 years were displayed and enjoyed by all. A beautiful cake with an RV and pelican also commemorated the occasion.
Gulf Coast Pelicans is an active chapter of FRVA mostly in southwest Florida, with some gatherings in central Florida also. Members attend three-to-five-day rallies from September through June, with around 30 to 40 people or 20 RVs in attendance.
We have fun checking out local attractions and tourist sites along with dining, crafts, and playing games like nickels and card bingo. Other group interests include visiting wineries, microbreweries, and distilleries. One of our annual events is the Kentucky Derby rally, complete with a hat contest, betting, and mint juleps.
Owners of motorhomes and trailers are welcome. For more information, visit our website: ourgrouponline.org/GulfCoastPelicans.
