The second annual Country Coach Friendship Rally, presented by Country Coach Friends Inc. (CCFI), an international chapter of Family Motor Coach Association, brought 170 motorhome owners to the River Bend Resort in Harrisburg, Oregon, near Junction City, for five days of rally fun, July 24 through 28, 2012. During the rally, this generous group donated $9,600 to area food banks, namely God’s Storehouse in Harrisburg and the Junction City Local Aid. The money was raised through raffle ticket sales and a live auction. Last year, rally attendees donated more than $8,000 to these two these organizations, which provide emergency assistance to families in need.
Many of the motorhome owners who attended the Friendship Rally lingered in the Junction City community, spending time (and discretionary money) enjoying the south Willamette Valley. The annual CCFI rally returns to Oregon each year for the Friendship Rally, which is held near the Junction City site where Country Coach motorhomes were built. Due to the growth rate of the chapter, other venues in the Eugene and Albany areas are being explored for the 2013 rally site.
Country Coach Friends Inc. formed in June 2011 at the inaugural Country Coach Friendship Rally in Harrisburg, Oregon. As an international chapter of Family Motor Coach Association, the club had 40 coach-owning family members when it was chartered. In just one year, the chapter has more than quadrupled in size with upward of 190 members . . . and it’s still growing.
