Members of the Florida Roll’N Gators chapter celebrated the group’s 40th anniversary at a rally held March 6-9, 2014, at Lazydays RV Campground in Seffner, Florida. Past and current members joined in the festivities.
On Saturday evening following dinner, memorable and funny stories and experiences were shared by all. Representatives Jim Duncan, national vice president, Southeast Area, and Carol Buck, senior vice president, Southeast Area Motor Coach Association, presented a $250 check to the chapter in honor of this milestone anniversary.
The Florida Roll’N Gators chapter plans rallies from October through May each year, held in various Florida locales. The gatherings take place from Kissimmee down to Okeechobee, depending on the rally coordinator and hosts who plan each event. All rally dates are posted in the “Association Calendar” in Family Motor Coaching magazine, as well as online at FMCA.com. Chapter members also participate in FMCA Family Reunions.
Florida Roll’N Gators rallies usually begin with a potluck dinner. The host schedules prepared or catered dinners on Friday and Saturday, and a continental breakfast on Sunday. Our board and general meetings are held on Saturday, followed by lunch. We follow our dinners with games and entertainment planned by the hosts.
