Hagen and Mary Streckel, F479958
Home: Kempner, Texas.
Occupations: Retired secondary educators.
RV: 1999 Safari Serengeti motorhome.
RVing since: July 2012.
Most unusual place visited: Hagen enjoyed a trip to some Wisconsin cheese factories last summer. He had never been to one and was enthralled to find some 18-year-old cheddar.
Top item on our bucket list: We don’t really have a bucket list, but Glacier National Park has been calling to us for a few years.
One thing I never leave home without:
Mary: A travel journal of all our trips.
Favorite hobbies:
Hagen: Barbecue competitions.
Mary: Singing in a Sweet Adelines chorus and scrapbooking.
Favorite pastime when RVing: Antiquing.
Best camping memory: We took Mary’s mom and dad on a camping weekend. Her dad was in failing health and just wanted to get out in the woods again. He so enjoyed the weekend! We saw various wildlife and reveled in our time together. He passed away 10 days later. We were so happy to share in his joy from that weekend.
