Recall Corner: January 2014

January 1, 2014

On the affected chassis, the radiator cooling fans are subject to an overspeed condition that may exceed the capacity of the fan, which could result in the fan blades breaking without warning. Should this occur while the engine compartment is open, a person in the vicinity could be hit with a broken blade and injured.

A Spartan Chassis dealer will install a new cooling unit fan and a stiffener disk. The repair is expected to take approximately four hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer period of time.

For more information about this recall, contact Spartan Chassis Inc. at (800) 543-4277. Owner notification began in November 2013.
