Recall Corner: May 2014

May 1, 2014

On the affected motorhomes, during installation of the coolant lines, the right front brake line may have been unseated from the brake line holder, allowing the brake line to come in contact with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube. Should this occur, the brake line could develop a hole in it, causing a fluid leak, which would reduce braking ability and increase the risk of a crash.

A Roadtrek dealer will install insulated clamps for the coolant lines to secure them to the chassis frame rail and will inspect the brake line to assure that it is secured within the brake line holder and has clearance from the EGR tube. Should it be found that the brake line is unsecured, it will be inspected for wear and replaced if needed. The repair is expected to take approximately 1.5 hours. However, because of service scheduling times, the service department may need the vehicle for a longer period of time.

For more information about this recall, contact Roadtrek at (888) 762-3873. Owner notification was began in January 2014.
