Family & Friends: River City Travelers Honor Military Veterans

December 1, 2014

December 2014

During the River City Travelers chapter’s Memorial Day rally in May 2014, past chapter president Jerry Maust gave a presentation on the history and meaning of the holiday. He also recognized the veterans in attendance at the rally, which was held at Johnson Creek Park in Ingram, Texas. Thirteen of the 21 men at the rally had served in the military, with a combined 104 years of service. Vince Losada, who served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, received special recognition. In civilian life, a number of the others have been police officers or volunteer firefighters, or have held civic leadership positions.
