The Travlin Texans chapter received its FMCA charter on June 6, 1987. To commemorate the chapter’s 30th anniversary, members gathered October 3 through 6, 2017, for a rally at North Texas Airstream Community in Hillsboro, Texas.
During the rally, the chapter received its anniversary certificate and award presented by Joe Wright, FMCA national vice president, South Central Area, and Herman Mullins, vice president of the area’s southern region.
The chapter has 20 member families from the entire state of Texas, including the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas. Five rallies typically are held each year during the first full week of March, April, May, October, and November. These rallies provide an opportunity for friends to visit; participate in organized activities; and enjoy restaurants, potlucks, and group meals. We also play games and tour local attractions.
