Chris & Krista Rose, F477461
Occupations:
Chris: Auto technician at a GM dealership.
Krista: Marketing coordinator at FMCA.
Home: Batavia, Ohio.
RV: 2014 Coleman Expedition LT.
Pet: Tally, our 9-year-old beagle/basset hound mix.
Three words that best describe me:
Chris: Funny, outgoing, hardworking.
Krista: Family-oriented, colorful, go-getter.
RVing since: 2012. We bought a pop-up camper when we got engaged.
Krista: My grandparents always had an RV when I was growing up. In fact, they still have one. My best memories involve camping trips.
Favorite camping destination:
We like visiting Ohio state parks. Lots to see and do, and reasonable rates.
Most embarrassing camping moment: Once, after emptying the holding tanks, we drove out of the campground. A biker was chasing us and yelling. We forgot to shut and lock the camper door. It was swinging around as we were driving. Oops!
Most unusual place I’ve visited:
Krista: Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Top item on our bucket list: Taking a trip on Route 66 and going out West.
Favorite hobby:
Chris: Making stuff from old license plates and tinkering in general.
Krista: Gardening and canning.
A famous person I have met:
Chris: Vanilla Ice.
Krista: Pedro and Kip from the movie Napoleon Dynamite.
Strangest thing I’ve eaten:
Chris: Cow tongue.
Krista: Bear.
Best camping memory: The first trip in our Coleman. We pulled in, set up in 10 minutes, and kicked back in lawn chairs. This was a big difference from having our pop-up, where set-up easily took an hour. We looked at each other, smiling, because this hobby brings us so much fun and stress relief.
Nerdiest thing I do in my spare time:
Chris: Cleaning our cars every Sunday for hours.
Krista: Raising chickens for eggs.
Among family and friends, I’m famous for:
Chris: Being able to fix anything.
Krista: Colorful clothes.
Weirdest thing in our fridge: Homemade dog food that Krista makes for Tally.
Best advice I ever got:
Chris: Don’t settle.
Krista: God’s delay is not God’s denial.
