November 2018

Home: Franklin, Tennessee.

Occupations: Mark retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years and now works for the government. Kimberly works in corporate real estate, specializing in health care. Maddox, 15, is a ninth-grader.

RV: 2018 Tiffin Phaeton motorhome.

Pet: A 6 ½-year-old chocolate lab named Moses.

RVing since: 2017.

Why we love RVing: With the new Tiffin Phaeton, we are really “roughing it smoothly.” The dog loves to go camping with us. It is a wonderful time to turn the phones and computers off and spend quality time together just enjoying nature and the company and stories of fellow campers. We really love the different people we meet on the road. Maddox loves the RV because he can take his scooter, bike, basketball, football, and cornhole game.

Top item on our bucket list: To return to the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. We were there 10 years ago. RVing-wise, we would like to tour the New England states in the fall and visit Martha’s Vineyard.

A famous person I have met:

Mark: Army Gen. David Petraeus, who pinned Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals on me for my service in Afghanistan.

Kimberly: Dolly Parton.

Maddox: U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander.

Among family and friends, I’m famous for:

Mark: Always being the “go to” guy in the RV park when others are having problems with their campers, and having tools ready to assist.

Kimberly: Being the business mind and resident intellect.

Maddox: Being the social butterfly in the RV park and at home.
