The 2020 Robert L. Richter Award was presented to Dana Sawyer, F475568, by FMCA president Jon Walker on March 10, 2021, during the association’s 102nd International Convention & RV Expo in Perry, Georgia.
Each year, by a vote of the FMCA Executive Board based on nominations received, the award is given to one individual responsible for chapter newsletters, chapter publications, or communications to and about an FMCA chapter. Dana belongs to the Entegra Coach Owners Association chapter and is the editor of “Rollin’ Along,” its quarterly newsletter.
Bob Richter, L1, was FMCA’s founder and the first editor of its magazine, originally called Family Motor Coaching. He began publishing the periodical out of his home in February 1964.
Dana was slated to receive the award at FMCA’s Lincoln, Nebraska, convention in August 2020; however, the COVID-19 outbreak forced the cancelation of that event.
