Alan and Paula Grissom, F484042
Occupations: Retired.
RV: 2013 Winnebago Journey.
Full-timing since: January 1, 2016. Before that, home was Redding, California.
Full-timing’s appeal: The freedom to be wherever we are needed or wanted and to explore this big, beautiful country.
A lesson I’ve learned while RVing:
Paula: Everything you keep has to have a purpose. Tidiness is very important.
Alan: Never check in late at night in the dark, in the rain.
Favorite camping destination: Newport, Oregon. Beautiful weather, beautiful people, and peacefulness. Lots to explore.
Most unusual place visited: Niagara Falls in the pouring rain and wind and no one there but us. We figured since we drove so far to get there, we were going to go see it no matter what.
Best camping memory: When we used to take our two girls, Gabrielle and Madison, camping in our tent trailer years ago.
Favorite hobby:
Paula: Walking in new territory and exploring small towns.
Alan: Playing my guitar and trying to keep up with my wife while she is walking in new territory.
