| Genny Jennings, L26, was presented the Kenneth T. Scott Pipe Dreamer’s Award by Charlie Adcock, immediate past national president, and Jon Walker, newly elected national president, on July 18 in Owosso, Michigan, following FMCA’s 96th International Convention. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptionally worthy and beneficial service to the association and to motorhome owners. Ken Scott, L63, was FMCA’s first executive director and dedicated years to nurturing the association.
Genny and her late husband, Howard, were among the original families who helped form FMCA in 1963. Genny served as FMCA national secretary from 1967 to 1970. She served as national vice president from 1974 to 1975; national fourth vice president from 1975 to 1976; and national fifth vice president from 1976 to 1977. She also wasnational vice president, Great Lakes Area, from 1982 to 1986. She has remained active throughouther entire membership in FMCA. |

Kimberlea Weeks, F144937, received the Robert L. Richter Award from FMCA national president Charlie Adcock during the annual membership meeting in Indianapolis. Bob Richter, L1, was FMCA’s founder and the first editor of Family Motor Coaching magazine. The award is given to an individual responsible for chapter newsletters, chapter publications, or communication to and about an FMCA chapter.
Kimberlea and his husband, Keith, belong to the GMC Motorhomes International chapter. Kimberlea has worked with several other chapter members to transform the chapter newsletter into a polished magazine with informative features and colorful layouts. She has been responsible for many other chapter projects as well, among them a monthly e-newsletter, the GMC Motorhome Parts Exchange, the chapter website and Facebook page, membership promotions, and much more. Kimberlea and Keith belong to nine other GMC chapters as well. |
