Larry and Dannette Larsh own the 1985 MCI 102-A-3 tour bus used by country music icon Tammy Wynette during the latter part of her career and have turned it into a rolling tribute to the singer-songwriter. The couple has collected a variety of memorabilia to display inside the coach.
Music legend Tammy Wynette toured the United States in the 1980s and ’90s, treating fans to some of the greatest country songs ever written. Most of her travels during the latter part of her career took place in a 1986 MCI 102-A-3 diesel-pusher bus customized by Hoffman Coach Company in Clarendon, Pennsylvania.
After she passed away in 1998, the 40-foot entertainer coach basically sat idle until 2018 when Larry and Dannette Larsh, F512741, bought it and drove it to their Valley Springs, California, home where they have since turned the tour bus into the consummate rolling shrine to the country music icon.

Larry and Dannette Larsh enjoy sharing Tammy Wynnette’s tour bus and a collection of memorabilia with the late singer-songwriter’s fans.
“I have a great piece of history in this bus,” Larry Larsh said as the retired truck driver walked us through the coach during the Family RV Association convention in Redmond, Oregon, last August. “My wife and I have spent a great deal of time, a lot of money, collecting her memorabilia, albums, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, biographies, and talking to those who knew her, so we can share all this with her fans. I’ve also made sure it’s in excellent running condition, and in the same condition inside as it was when she used it for her tours.”
Larry is like a museum curator who knows all the history behind the displays and enjoys sharing that information.

Larry Larsh and his wife, Dannette, keep memories of singer-songwriter Tammy Wynette alive by sharing her tour bus and memorabilia with fans.
“I love to walk people through Wynette’s bus and help keep her legacy alive with her fans,” Larry said as he spotted more people lining up outside to get an inside look at the coach. “I’m so happy to be here at the FMCA rally, parked right in the line of fire so everyone attending can see her coach. And I don’t take a dime for this. I get my rewards when I see people smile as they walk on the same carpet Tammy did, and see the way she decorated and outfitted her coach.”
“I have a great piece of history, and a lot of people love Tammy Wynette,” Larry added. “A lot of people are fans, and what I want to do is keep her legacy going.
“People ask me all the time, ‘Hey, how come you don’t put out a tip jar or get money?’ I go, ‘I didn’t get this coach to make money off of Tammy’s legacy. I got this coach to show people, to let people enjoy it. And [Tammy’s] daughters are perfectly happy with that.”
